Let’s face it. For years we’ve taken retail for granted. We thought retail was just a dumping ground for our daily woes & frustrations, a place we could go in and make a mess & have someone finally clean up after us.
We treated the employees as less than us, & some of us even threw our weight around & said things like, “I’ll shop somewhere else.” We didn’t know that the employees were secretly thinking, “Please do.”
And now we’re realizing there may not be anywhere else left to shop soon.

The internet & the post-pandemic malaise are affecting stores ability to staff & stock appropriately. And since employees got a break during Covid, many are saying, “I’m not going to take it anymore.”
Retail can be stressful, and great employees are hard to find. When you interact with our salespeople, just remember. Good salespeople are EVERYTHING. Help us keep ours in place by treating them well.

Your friendly greetings & positive attitudes make a difference. Good customers energize employees, not deplete them. When employees are stressed to the max by pushy, nasty & unappreciative customers they’re less calm & creative.
